You can obtain up to 3 hours Field Study credit for volunteering in Costa Rica after the course is completed. There are many volunteer opportunities ranging from working in a butterfly garden, a number of cooperatives, the Earth School, etc. You can also obtain Field Study credit for living with a rural family and working on their farm. The approximate credit is one (1) hour of semester credit for each 2 weeks of work. The final determination of hours credit will be made after consultation with the instructor.
