Genomic Medicine

There is a new field called genomic medicine. This field was created to understand genetics on a large scale and how this information can be used to

• diagnose the potential for developing a disease,
• monitor a disease, and
• treat a disease.

There are many challenges in not only identifying a genetic error that causes or contributes to a disease, but also in developing the treatment.
